Happy Graduation!!!

Thursday night was horrible for me ... I threw up right before I went to bed, then woke up late and couldn't sleep well! I slept in this morning, ate a little ... and finally felt bette around 2PM. They had a graduation party for the three graduates from the boys ranch, so we went and hung out! I felt fine the whole time. We came home, started getting ready ... almost ready to walk out the door ... my stomach starts to hurt ... then i throw up! I knew I would not be able to sit through graduation, so we stayed home!

25 on the 25th

So my birthday would have been a lot more exciting if I felt good at all! I could have stayed in bed all day yesterday (and I did, about 70% of the day, seriously)!!

I went to bed at 11:30
woke up at 2AM feeling like crap
couldn't sleep, just laid there
slept for a little bit
woke up again around 6am, horrible stomach ache
couldn't go back to sleep
bryan snoring didn't help
went in living room to sleep
Bryan got up to make breakfast for me around 8:30
i tried to sleep a little in our bed, not successful
ate breakfast with wonderful hubby around 9:30
threw it up about 11
took shower, gave violet a bath
Bryan came home for lunch, had turkey cheese on tortilla
went back to bed, slept from 2:30-4:30
watched jon & kate reruns
bryan came home at 5
fixed my hair, got dressed
went to wal-mart to get my prenatal vitamins, they were closed
went to my uncle ronnie's for some memorial day celebration
played taboo with cousins
ate some great food (more than a couple bites, yeah)
came home around 10
asleep by 11

Add tons of "happy birthday" calls and text messages throughout the day! Thank all of you ... It really made my day!! :)

A little rough, but all in all a wonderful day!

8 Weeks

Today, We reached 8 Weeks! Nothing exciting going on here!

"All-day sickness" is still around ... not bad, but here!

Nothing sounds good to eat. Bryan could name every restaurant in town, and I'll pass! I eat a couple bites of something, then I'm done! Bread makes me gag ... the thickness I guess! So I don't eat sandwiches. Had a turkey and cheese on a tortilla yesterday, and that worked!

This isn't really worth posting ... but I guess I would like to see what each week looks like!!

National Track Meet

Thursday: I watched Brian compete in the sprint relay! They were just shy of making it to finals!

Friday: Today, he ran in the mile relay ...

They placed 4th out of their heat ... AND MADE IT TO FINALS!!!

Saturday: Finals started at 5PM ... But sadly, Bryan was asked to watch a couple of boys for some cottage parents!! I didn't want to go watch it w/o him, so I waited for him to get off! We left the ranch around 8PM ... just in time to watch the 5000M run, women's and men!! About the time the girls mile relay started to warm up ... Brian called Aunt Marilyn and told him that he would not be running in the mile relay! WHAT?!

Well, the ASU girls placed 2nd in the mile relay and 2nd as a team! It was amazing! They ran so good!!

The ASU guys placed 4th.

We talked to Brian after the race. Coach Reeds came up to him and said that Alpine was running. So Brian figured that he was running instead of someone else. Then Brian asked who all was running ... the coach named four guys ... Brian was not one of them! Brian just walked off!

Brian has been running all year on the mile relay ... he is not hurt ... Alpine ran a heptathlon (or whatever it's called, 8 events), so he had already ran a lot the past three days!!

Obviously no one is happy about this! We will see how things pan out!

Afterwards, we went to Chili's ... so Bryan could eat. Well, I got cajun chicken pasta .... I am going to go out on a limb and say the baby does not like it. Walking back to the car, we had to make a pit stop! I wanted Bryan to make a sign that said I'm not Drunk, Just Pregnant!

Blue Haired Disease?

This morning, I was scheduled to work at the hospital from 6am-2pm ... They called at 5:05 and told me that I would be on call, and that I could stay home!! yes! Well, we let Bevo out ... and Bryan and I slept in!

Later that day, Bevo came back in the house ... and he had blue marks all over one side of his body! We have no idea what it is ... or where it came from! There is nothing around his mouth, tongue, so it's nothing he ate ... he has like 2 marks on top of his head!

So Weird!!

Regional Track Meet

Regional Track Meet for Wall was in Odessa, Texas on May 19th - 20th! Bryan and I, along with Andrew ... made the trek down there on Wednesday for the finals!!

First Doctor's Appointment

This morning, we went to the doctor at 8:30AM. I honestly was scared that I would have an "internal sono" because I am still pretty early in the pregnancy! But luckily, Bryan and I walked into the sono room, and the lady asked me to hope up on the table ... She rubbed the thingy on my tummy! Thank You, Jesus!!

It was amazing! I asked her if there was a baby in there (because I don't think I was 100% positive I was pregnant)!? She said yup. Then I asked if there was more than one ... she said no! I said ok good ... My dad had a dream that we had three boys, and he couldn't tell if they were triplets or not! She showed us the baby on the screen. Then she asked if we could see this flutter on the screen, we both said yes ... that was the baby's heartbeat! I was already crying, but that really hit home!! I mean there really is this thing inside me that is ALIVE!! What a special moment!! I was so happy that Bryan was there with me!

Then we met with my doctor's nurse ... she went over some stuff with us, blah blah .. nothing really excited! Then, I met with my doctor ... which I love! She is wonderful! Any ladies out there, if you need a girly doctor, call Dr. Coronado ... she is amazing!! :)

She sent me to the "vampires" ... where it hurt like crap, because she stuck me and then had to dig!

All in all, in was a great day!

Here is the very first picture of Baby Neal! She made my official due date January 3rd. That puts me at 7 weeks, 2 days ... Baby measured 7 weeks, 1 day!

So, the "all day sickness" is continuing on. It's definitely slowed down! Everyday, I experience it ... both most days are ok! I've only thrown up a handful of times ... but nauseous a lot! Most days are better than others ... it really just depends on the severity of the the nausea!

And that's it for now ...

A whole four months later .. and Bryan is almost done with completing his golf set! He got his golf bag in yesterday ... and all he is lacking is the putter!

Yesterday, I had the day off! After Bryan got home from golf with Darren, we went into town for a movie! We went and saw Ghost of Girlfriends Past. It was incredibley cute! Then we came home ... Bryan made us a really good meal ... while I made a strawberry cake for a graduation party we will attended tonight!

A couple weeks ago, a girl asked if I would take her 6-2PM shift today. Of course, I said yes ... because I say yes to everybody! I called the hospital last night, and they only had 4 patients! I had a good chance of not having to go into this morning! This morning, I got up at 5 AM ... and just waited for that phone call! At 5:30AM, it came! So, I am enjoying my saturday at home, on call of course, but still at home!

More Softball ...

Bryan and the guys are really loving playing softball! They have played monday, tuesday and tonight!!

So after 2 days of argueing about the score and the outs, I decided that today I would keep score on paper! Well it was the last inning ... the score was 26-6 ... the cottage parents/bryan were really beating up on the rest of the boys!! The younger boys team had one more bat to try and catch up!

It was 26-10, with 2 outs (as by my calculations) ... Josh (not real name) hit a ball to Bryan, Bryan threw the ball to first and got Josh out at first! By my calculations, that would be three outs. Bryan said, "Ok guys, two outs." hehe the younger guys were hitting good, so I kept my mouth shut! Next batter hits to shortstop, Mashburn threw it to third and got the kid out. Now we are up to four outs by calculations ... Bryan yells, "ok 2 outs!!" heheh i just laughed again! I told all the boys that that was their 4th out ... but apparently the older guys just wanted to keep playing! They got all the way to 26-20 ... and finally got their 5th ... i mean 3rd out! hehe

I told Bryan when they got off the field ... he was like WHY didn't you tell us? I said it looked like a were having fun!! hehe I thought it was funny!

About My Pregnancy

So here's the info so far:

-We found out on the 27th that we were pregnant! I had tested early that morning when Bryan took the boys to school. I wanted tell him in a fun way ... but I couldn't wait! When he came home, I had the test sitting on the counter in the bathroom, with the light on. When he came home, right before he got back into bed, I asked him to turn the bathroom light off ... he turned the light off and then turned it right back on!! He got a huge smile on his face and said, "what's this?" We told my parents that evening .. they were also super excited!! Even though we had plans to go to Kerrville on the 9th for a wedding ... we couldn't wait to tell his family! So we went on Thursday night ... had a great evening supper with them. Then Bryan asked if they would like to do Christmas at our house this year! They were all like no .... Finally, Bryan told them that we didn't think Susan's doctor would let her travel at the time!! They all freaked!

-By my calculations, I am 6 weeks today. We are due January 5th.

-Saturday, I experienced my first case of morning sickness .... yet, it wasn't really morning sickness, I called it "all day sickness"!! I stayed in bed most of the day. Bryan took the boys to a stampede game ... and I decided to get myself up and out of the house!! It felt good to get dressed and out, but I was miserable most of the game!! Saturday night was even worse. I could not fall asleep because I felt so nauseous. It was probably 1am by the time I felll asleep ... then I woke up again around 3, and could not fall back asleep! Finally, after I had been laying there awhile ... I decided that I needed sugar! Bryan got me a capri sun and a ice cream sandwich bar! After I ate that, my stomach slowly felt better ... I fell asleep shortly after that! Sunday (mother's day) morning, I woke up still feeling bad! You definitely can't tell a pregnant woman, experiencing morning sickness, who has lots of crazy hormones in her body ... that she isn't a mother!! I'm a mother to this silly tummy monster of mine ...

-I have my first doctor's appointment on Tuesday, May 19th. I hear that I will be poked and proded a lot! We go for a sonogram first, then meet with the doctor! Bryan will be going with me! We are hoping to get a good look at the very first picture of our baby Neal!

-Tummy Monster! Yes, that is his name until he/she enters this world! I don't want to find out, but Bryan does ... but we decided that half way through this pregnancy we will find out if it's a boy or a girl! We will also not name the baby until she/he comes out. We will decide on two full names, and pick one according to looks and whichever one fits after they are born!!

-My plan is to update my pregnancy on this blog every tuesday! Even though I feel fatter, no pictures will be on this blog yet! As soon as I notice an expansion in my stomach, then I will start the pictures!!

-So, right now .... I need all you mothers who experienced morning sickness to give me you best remedy!! What got your through the nausciating days? What helped ease your stomach?

My First Mother's Day

This morning, I decided since I am experiencing morning sickness that I was able to celebrate mother's day!!

I had asked Bryan to buy this Willow Tree Figurine when we found out we were pregnant!! He gave it to me this morning!! :)

We went to Wall this morning for church and to spend the day with my mom!! Lunch at papa's, then we watch "Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Extremely long movie, that could have been cut in half!!

When we got home, we went for a nice evening walk!
