Two Months Old

With Brady being born on the 31st of December ... we aren't able to celebrate on the 31st of every month.

So we have a big celebration on the last day of each month.

i took these yesterday, and thought they were too cute.
big boy, sitting up in his crib

We started his celebration day with going to church with all of his family: mom & dad, pappy & lala, mimi & pawpaw and auntie j & travis.

then we all went to pappy & lala's for pizza and the fixings. yum yum.

this is how he wanted to have his picture taken.

handsome two month old in his church clothes.

kissy kissy face.

so cute in his duckie pj's...
(thanks mimi)

happy little man.

"everyone look how long i am."

At Two Months:
-takes his last bottle at 10pm, then his next one is between 5-6am. yeah.
-eats 5 ounces at each feeding.
-is completely on formula. :(
-loves to stare at the lights.
-enjoys watching his mobile in his crib.
-still sleeps in his swing at night.
-LOVES cuddling with his momma (and others)
-wears 0-3 month onesies with a couple of 3-6 months
-has mostly only 3-6 month sleepers.
-can still wear is ONE pair of newborn shoes.
-can hold his head up really good. but when he's done, it slams forward.
-loves to sit up, wants to look around. hoping that he will like his bumbo soon.

we have a dr. appointment tomorrow. i'm excited about the updates on him. i'm not excited about the shots he will be getting.

First Bump

the first of many, i'm sure.

he is just so stinkin' strong. i picked him up after changing his diaper. he was holding his head, then all of a sudden threw it forward ... and caught my tooth to his forehead.

he immediately made the "screaming" face, the one with no sound ... you know it's bad.

but then he just cried for like 10 seconds and he was done.

a small bump came up within minutes.

i can't believe that his first official "boo-boo" was caused by me.

San Angelo Rodeo 2010

Last Night, We went to the rodeo with a big group of people. It was wonderful, as expected!

We decided to leave Brady at home with my parents. Next year will be his "first rodeo" and he will actually enjoy it more than he would this year.

So next year around this time, be ready for some of the cutest little cowboy pictures ever!

Snow Day 2010

After Bryan got off work on Monday, we headed to my parent's house ... we that we could be snowed in over there.

When I let Violet out on Tuesday morning ... she ran all over the place. It was halirious.
We got close to 5 inches at my parent's house.

I told Bryan I couldn't remember the last time we built a snowma ... So I convinced him to go outside and play.

Building the base for "The Duke".

Luckily, Travis and Jill came over shortly after we started ... we needed some more muscles to build him.

Then we raided my dad's barn for parts ... I love the way he turned out!

We bundled Brady up and brought him out real quick for a picture.

Travis, Jill, the Duke, Brady, Me and Bryan

Jill karate kicked him to death.

what a fun day.

First FairGround Experience

Bryan had some extra passes for the fairgrounds and rodeo on Sunday afternoon. We are going to the rodeo on Friday Evening ... so we decided to hit all the exhibits today!

It was a beautiful day, so Brady enjoyed all the craziness.

I forgot to take any pictures of him in the area ...
so we got one in the parking lot!

Brady and Little Kenzie

We went to the hospital yesterday to see Josh, Marlayna and Baby Kenzie.

i have to remind myself that you probably won't get that "perfect" picture if you have a 7 week old, a 2 day old and TWO Proud Mommas!

Brady was looking at the camera ... but of course, we weren't.

guess Kenzie decided yawning was more important than smiling.
basically, i loved all three of these photos and couldn't choose one.

Congrats, You Guys! She is beautiful!

BTW- We realized Brady was missing a sock when we got to the room, so we took off the other one. We found it next to our car in the parking lot. hehe

7 Weeks

he wanted to see what we doing on the internet ...

he has found his tongue ...
we have already told him many times that it is not polite to stick it at anyone.

we were waiting on daddy to finish giving plasma ... so we chilled in the car and had a little photo shoot!

so happy together.

he is such a great baby. so easy to please.

can't imagine my life without him.

btw, daddy dressed him this morning.

having a very deep conversation at sunset grill this afternoon.

i think bryan and i would both agree that this has been the most challenging, most exciting ... basically the best 7 weeks of our lives!!

First Trip to Kerrville

On saturdy morning, we fed brady at 7:00, gave him some awake time ...
then put him the carseat and headed to kerrville.

this was him going down the driveway.

and this was him before wall. hehe

he was an angel. i jumped in the back seat right outside of kerrville, and chatted with him until we pulled up to bryan's parent's house! otherwise, he was perfect.

Bryan's MaMaw and PaPaw with Brady

Granny feeding him ...

Mr. House, their neighbor ...

Mr. House turns 100 in July

Four Generations!

Uncle Troy and Aunt Lindsay with their handsome nephew!

Another Four Generations!

Emmie and Uncle Bryan

great friends.

she enjoyed being strapped in brady's carseat!

after his 7:30pm feeding, we had a little awake time ... then headed back home. We made it home about 11:30pm. I heard ONE peep out of him about 2 minutes from the house. He was amazing.
