24 Weeks.

Woo-hoo, 24 weeks and counting.

-the medicine my dr. gave me a prescription for is helping. i take one in the morning, then my prenatal at lunch, then another acid crap pill before supper. i have felt so much better in the evenings.
-continuing "stretching" pains.
-i have had a couple charlie horses in the night. 2 in one night once. not cool.
-i've noticed that it is getting hard to bend over and pick stuff up ... and roll out of bed. heheh that is a sight to see already.
-i'm still not sleeping well. i have a pillow at my head, between my legs, and one behind me. i roll from side to side to side, all night long. any body have suggestions, or ways that helped you sleep better?
-he kicks quite a few times a day. some evening bryan will rub that cocoa butter stretching cream on my belly, and shortly after he is done ... he starts kicking a lot. i guess it really wakes him up.

date night.

We had plans to go to our friends' wedding this afternoon. But we looked on the invitation and the wedding was at 3PM, and Bryan didn't want to get off that early!

so we decided to have a little date night ... which was really just a meal. I have had a free dessert coupon for awhile, so we decided to go to Carino's and use it! We had our pasta fill.

for dessert, we had a tasty treat...
it was like apple pie w/ ice cream, but even better.

We then went home and enjoyed an evening of rain! loving these days!

The other day we came home, and our cat was sitting on our front porch, just meowing away! I guess she was saying look what i did.

This snake was basically dead ... only it's tail would move!

I said GOOD KITTY! We went inside and gave her milk for her treat!

I have been living at the ranch for almost 2 years, and this is the first one I have seen!

BTW, Bryan took the close up picture, NOT me!!

4th Dr. Appointment

Nothing exciting really!

they did my weight first ... I made a big jump! I have gained a total of 10 lbs. so far. let's hope it doesn't jump that much next time.

blood pressure- fine

listened for heartbeat - 144 bpm again

talked to nurse. she gave me a prescription for my "acid reflex", which is what she said it probably was. not fun. i hate taking pills ... but i think i hate the acid crap more.

Today, Chick Fil A (only the best place ever) were giving away free chicken sandwiches if you wore your favorite sports team.

i took advantage of it for lunch ...

and for supper.

i look at this picture ... and i see tiredness.
we had a long weekend.

23 Weeks

it feels like we just found out that we were having a little boy ... and here it is, already 5 weeks later! 17 weeks and counting until we meet this little guy.

-indigestion is carrying on. i'm going to apologize in advance ... if I am around you, and the burping is a necessity!
-the belly is getting very tight. i know it has a lot more stretching to do ....
-there have been a couple of times where you can actually see him kick. when he is kicking a lot and hard ... we watch my belly, and both bryan and i watch him.
-he is still very very low. loves to kick my bladder.
-still able to wear all regular jeans, shorts, etc. i usually have them unbuttoned and i use the belly band. my favorite piece of maternity.

Sunday Fun

we slept late this morning. missed out on church. actually woke up when church was starting. that is what a long night does to me.

we headed to my papa's for a fish fry.

most of the holik's were there because of dove season. even trey, heather and abi ... and elizabeth and chris came down.

Emery is four days older than Abi.

After lunch, we went to the mall. Dillards has a great selection of polo for the boys ... and mirrors for Emery.

unite and conquer.

today we had Unite and Conquer in our backyard.

it was a long day, full of craziness, loud bands, etc.

After some really good food cooked by my Uncle Ronnie ...

I watched a little of Addison Road ... then went back for Skillet and Third Day. Somehow we ended up over 3 hours behind. so even though Third Day was supposed to come on at 9:30PM ... it was after midnight when we finally saw them.

Both Skillet and Third Day were both awesome!

Luckily, when it was over around 1:30am ... all we had to do was walk home (about 100 yards)!!

I think it was a great turnout ... and i wouldn't mind if they had it in our backyard next year.

it is NOT my week ...

-On tuesday evening, I started to get a sore throat. I went for my yummy Halls Breezers (which I always have in my house) ... and I couldn't find them. Then, I remembered that last week Bryan had a sore throat, and he had finished them off.

-Yesterday, I got myself and the dogs ready about 7PM to go for a walk. I walked out the front door, shut the screen door behind me ... and then felt an awful sting on my shoulder! I had been stung by a wasp. Now, that's just not fair ... it takes enough motivation as it is to get out and exercise ... getting stung does not help.

-Well, after I got some medicine on it ... I decided to still go for that walk. The dogs were all hyper anyways, so I figured I could still go. We walked for an hour, 2 miles (don't do the math, I know it's slow). Of course, I felt good about myself. So, I kept on ... a couple house chores were on the list next! So, I am picking up things off of the floor so I can vacuum ... and then, I see a "water mark" in our room. As soon as I see it, I look up and Bevo is running away from me ... he is horrible about hiding stuff! Also, after we walk, he tends to drink way too much, which in return causes him to throw it up. I should have been paying attention ... but we will blame the pregnancy brain!! I walk in the living room, and there are two more marks. I just open the back door, and give him a little slap as he runs out. By now, I am crying ... bryan can't understand the words I am bawling to him over the phone ... and I have no plans on cleaning anything! Finally, he calmed me down, i did clean up his mess, and I did vacuum the house!

Let's move onto today.

-I had a horrible night. I can NOT get comfy when i sleep ... everything hurts, or should i say aches i guess!

-I just warmed up some left over chicken strips for lunch at work. I had my ketchup container (one from whataburger), warm chicken and few crackers. Somehow, I managed to knock my ketchup container on to my pants, then onto the floor! What a mess! I am wearing a white shirt, and managed to avoid it completely! Ketchup is NOT a fun mess to clean up. I hope it doesn't stain the carpet!

That's it for now! I hope I have nothing else to report on this subject ...

a new game to play ...

On Sunday, while at the mall ... we found this little toy store that had some random, but cool stuff! Among is was a game system that had 100 of the really old nintendo games on it ... including mario, duck hunt, pacman, etc.!

All for $39.99!!!

Of course, it sounded too good to be true ... so we bombarded the guy with questions.

The games were in the system, plus TWO wireless controllers and a gun (for the shooting games)!

We (along w/ Chris and Liz) decided that we could not pass up that deal!
