Coolest Jewelry Box EVER

I have been wanting a jewelry box for over a year now ... I guess we just couldn't find one that I liked! I am so glad that I did not settle for anything! We found this the other day at Wal-mart! It doubles as a collage of pictures and a jewelry holder!!

Hangs on the wall ... and opens to this!

The earring holder allows you to put the matching earrings right above the necklace!!

PS- Congrats to Bryan and Elizabeth ... who graduate from ASU this morning!! Bryan is not walking ... but he will be there to watch Liz do it!! He said, "Been there, Done That!"

I've been to LaLa Land and back ...

I have been sick the past couple days ...

It started with a migraine on Saturday, then on Sunday again ... bad enough that I laid curled up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor!

Monday morning came ... and when I woke up, I went straight to the bathroom! The migraine had lived through the night! I called the boss and said that I would not be in today! By Monday afternoon, I felt flu-like symptoms coming on ... fever and all! Monday night was miserable! Tuesday, the fever stood strong, and I felt like crud! Tuesday night was ever more miserable than Monday night!! Wednesday was the same as the other two ... but the night was a little nicer, so I slept like an angel!!

Yesterday, since I didn't have fever ... I convinced myself that I could go to work! WRONG! About 9:30AM, I called the boss and said that I was going home! I still felt sooo weak!!

Today, I am sooooo much better! Hoping that I am done with the flu ... and Praying that Bryan doesn't get it! We have a busy weekend ahead of us!!

Today, I had lunch with my beautiful sister ... When we sat down, she said she had a Love Letter for me! I knew right away it was from one of my 4th graders from when I student taught 2 years ago!

I love when I see my kids around town! They come up to me, give me hugs and still call me 'Ms. Miller'.

Party for Girls ...

On Friday Night, usually the Neals put up the Christmas tree! We exchange ornanments, and decorate it together! Well this year, only a couple of us stayed home to do this!! Tivy was playing a playoff football game in San Antonio ... Roy, Bryan, Ryan and Troy went to it! Ben and Kristi took advantage of the babysitters, and decided to go out on a date ... which was fine by us!! Marissa and Emery went to her mother's house! Granny stayed for a little bit, but decided she wanted to go home to watch her new tv!! This left Me, Mimi, LE and Bella! A girls party for FOUR!

I got my video camera out, so everyone could later enjoy watching the girls put their ornanments on the tree! For background Christmas music, we put in The Polar Express. WHoops, big mistake ... Bella and Landry could not take their eyes off of the TV! SO, the tree decorating got put on hold, while we watched the movie!!

As still as can be, during the movie ...

Bella stood up to get another handful of popcorn! She was so caught up in the movie, hot chocolate, popcorn ... she slowly sat down, and totally missed her chair! Mimi and I laughed so hard ... It was so funny!!

I told Landry that she had popcorn on her face, and she said, "Susan, you want a picture of my 'popcorn face'?" I said, of course ... so she got a handful of popcorn and shoved some in her face! So, here is the picture of her popcorn face!

Earlier in the evening, we tried to get Bella to wear this hat, but she would have nothing to do with it! Then, out of no where ... she decided to put it on!! hehe

We are done!

When we were done with the ornanments, I showed the girls a video of them on my camera ... then we decided to watch it on Mimi's big TV! SO we watched some Christmas videos from last year, then a couple from this year!!

Landry then has some request, "Let's watch the one with Bella crying!" While Landry was helping her dad put the star on the top of the tree, Bella got a hold of Landry's doll ... so yes, there were tears!

It was a great night!! And crazy enough, with all the popcorn, excitement and hot chocolate, we all went to bed a little after 11 PM!

Dedication

Emery was dedicated to the church on sunday! I am glad that we were able to be there!

Thanksgiving Day

We started our day off with fitting 6 people in my mom's car! We left around 9:30 AM for Midland ... Dad, Mom and Jill in the front with Bryan, Mema and I in the back!! It sure was a cozy ride!!

We made it to Midland around 11:30AM! We helped around the kitchen, looked at the 'Black Friday' Deals and visited with family ... We had a great time!!

Lunch was great ... My Aunt Joann always finds ideas for Thanksgiving meals out of magazines, so she is always trying new recipes!

My Aunt Joann put candy corn on the tables ... for decoration! Not only were they good to eat ... but we had a little fun of our own!! We were going to get a picture of all the grankids, but we forgot!! Vampire teeth and Buck teeth ... great pictures!!

We got home around 5:30PM and headed straight to Wall to hang out with family there!! James, Letitia and their 4 kids were there ... along with most of our mom's side of the family! We enjoyed a very quick hour long visit with every there, before we headed off to Kerrville!!

We had a wonderful day! Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite holidays ... it leads to my absolute favorite time of year!! Hope everyone's Thanksgivings was as blessed as ours!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This Morning, Bryan and I are going with my parents and sister to Midland. My dad's sister is hosting Thanksgiving lunch at her house!! Here's to the first meal of eating good ...

Then after lunch, we will come back to San Angelo ... and go hang out in Wall with some of that family! Around 5PM, the plan is to leave for Kerrville! UT vs. A&M game starts at 7PM ... so I have to have Bryan in K-ville in front of a tv shortly after that!! hehe We will spend the rest of the weekend hanging with family, putting up christmas decorations, spoiling girls and eating good!!

Twilight ... a New Series to get Hooked on!!

Bryan took the 4 boys that were left on the ranch (all the rest have gone home for Thanksgiving) to go see Twilight last night! I was interested in seeing it ... but in no hurry! So, I decided to join him!

I won't give away any details ....

The movie started very s .... l .... o .... w!! Like I wanted to leave, it was so weird! Then about halfway through, the movie changed for the better!! The 2nd half was incredible! I don't know if I have ever been bored with the first half, then it get so exciting!!

Overall, I liked it, and can't wait for the next movies to come out! Afterwards, Bryn and I went to Hastings to rent the 1st and 2nd audiobooks! I am guessing that is what we will be listening to during all the traveling this week!!

Funny Feature

I don't know who would ever use the option ... except for a night full of laughter!! Mom and Dad would not let me post their pictures ... and well, Jill never reads this blog, so what she doesn't know, won't hurt her!! hehe

My New Toy / Early Christmas Present

This year for Christmas, I told Bryan that I wanted a very small digital camera that would always stay in my purse!! So we have been looking for months and months! We finally decided that Sony was the right brand for us! They have so many features!

Best Buy has had some really good deals; and even if they don't, they honor competition! AND Bryan has a friend who works there and he has been helping us out! Well last Sunday (11/16), we were checking out cameras to figure out exactly what I wanted! Well they had this camera in black marked down to $179 ... which being regularly $399 is really good! But we were just not ready to buy, and wanted to check Black Friday Deals!!

So on Friday (11/21), we went to Best Buy with some ranch boys! There happen to be one of these cameras left, but it wasn't priced $179 anywhere! So we took it up to the front to see how much it was ... it rang up at $399!! Bryan and I were like NO! That camera was "clearance" to $179 last week ... he said that it was clearance and now it was regular price!! Has anyone ever heard of something being clearanced and then moved back to regular price? Well anywayz, there was no way we were paying $399 for that camera, so we walked away!

On Saturday (11/22), after hanging out at the mall with the ranch boys, they wanted to go to Best Buy/ Academy! We saw Bryan's friend there ... so Bryan went to tell him what happened! He asked us how much the camera was marked last week ... we said $179! He was like well that's messed up ... We don't clearance stuff and then move the price back up! He asked if we wanted it ... we said for the clearanced price, yes!! So we went to the register ... and he rang it up at $159!!! We were just a little excited!! OK maybe we are overwhelmed with joy!! We got an amazing camera for fraction of the price!!

So Merry Christmas to me!! :)

Goodbye ...

I have tried everything I know to do ... even talked to the "Geek Squad" at Best Buy! It's no use! He said the pictures are no good! I am trying to get the courage to format it! Sad Day!!

What's even worse is that about a month ago, my computer at work crashed! I had put a lot of pics from my camera on it! When the computer guy asked if I had anything on it that I needed, I said NO ... because all the pictures I had on my work computer I had on my camera or at home!!

I lost so many pictures! Luckily, I did take all of the cowboy pictures and put them on my computer at home! And a whole lot of the important pics are on this blog ... I love this blog even more for that reason!!

Learn from my mistake ... don't leave your pictures on your camera's for very long!!
