a typical day in the Neal household

We start off our day about 8am. We hear Brady talking in his crib.

he is never in the position/place we laid him.

you can find him like this ...
or even like this.
he is sooooo happy in the mornings. before and after his first bottle.

then we play. he loves to sit up, so we use the boppy a lot.

then we check out the cute boy in the mirror.
brady and him love to smile and talk to each other.

around 10am, he is ready for a nap.
it is anywhere from 30 minutes - 2 hours.

yes, that's his booty sticking up in the air.

then around 12, 12:30, we eat again.

he plays in his bumbo when i try to blog.
it usually only lasts about 10 minutes.


around 2, he goes down for another nap.
it's length depends on the morning nap!

we eat again about 4:30pm.

on any nice day, we try and make it out for a walk in the afternoon.

daddy usually comes and visits us during one of his breaks.


then he takes a cat nap (no more than 30 minutes).
usually in the living room.

the rolling machine loves to play on his blanket,
and check up on the little boy in the mirror.


then around 8:30, we take our bath.
as you can see, the boy still loves his bath time.


then after his bath, we dry him off and put pj's on.
as you can see, he hates the pj stage.


then we eat our last bottle of the day.

finally, we read a couple of book.


after his bedtime stories, we lay him down awake.
he usually falls right asleep.

and that's a typical day in the neal house.
(of course, we have to add in a few temper tantrums every once in awhile ... and it's not always this perfect ... but normally, life is this good).

he has been holding his head up like this for awhile now.
i guess it started right after he began rolling.

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning (and when I say spring cleaning, i mean we have cleaned every nook, corner, space, etc. in our house) is not easy with an almost four month old.

so wednesday night, Brady spent the night with my mom/dad ... so that bryan could get a lot done on thursday! (thanks again)

it feels so good to have EVERTHING clean! now if only it would stay that way!

on Brady news:

he is growing way to fast!

he loves to sit up.
99% of the time he needs help.
but between me and his boppy, he is loving it!

he's not a huge fan of his bumbo yet.
he only lasts a few minutes.
i think he will enjoy it more when he's a little bigger.

Bargain of the Year

Being a stay at home mom, and having added a child to our family, and down to one paycheck ... i am always looking for bargains, good deals.

and since we have started reading to Brady, i was in need of some books.

so i went and got some ...
and some more ...
i had some things to drop off at goodwill, so i decided to run in and see what they had.

they had a 20 kids books for $1.00.
i did not type that wrong.
so i got 40, basically cleaned them out for all i wanted ... and paid $2.17!

after i used my lysol disinfecting wipes on every single one and page ...

i got about 20 cardboard ones, and 20 paper ones.

Pigs?

apparently brady loves pigs.

so i was taking the video AND making the noises, so it's a little shakey ...
but it's the little man's laughs that makes it the best video ever.

A Late Easter Treat

brady got a little treat this past sunday.

he sucked the chocolate right off.

the facial expression says it all.
not happy about getting cleaned up.

New Tricks

not only has this nifty mirror encouraged some major talking from our little man ... but also encourages him to turn on his side.

In result, he finally rolled from his back to tummy.

Now, we were excited about this ... and thought we are getting some real movement now.

Then, this early this morning ... Bryan came back to bed (from giving Brady his paci), and asked me if I turned Brady over on his back. I said of course not ... the boy doesn't sleep on his back. So he officially turned over from his tummy to back for the first time in his crib in the middle of the night.

he was nice enough to roll from back to tummy ... then kept going to his back again this morning for me!

Way to go, Brady!

Our Little Talker

as i type this post, my little man is telling me the best story ever. he is talking up a storm right now. hehe

i love catching his smiles on film.

Easter 2010

Wall Brethren Church has an Early Morning Sunrise Service ... and it starts at 7AM! But it comes with an amazing service, then a yummy breakfast and a fun easter egg hunt.

Brady got a whole bunch of goodies.

not only have we not been blogging lately ... but we have not been taking many pictures either.

so i charged my camera, and we had a photo shoot. these are the best.

he is definitely filling out.


he loves to sit up.

but he is top heavy, and this how he usually falls shortly afterwards.
