Day THREE: Hurricane Harbour & Rangers

This morning, we checked out of our hotel and headed to Hurricane Harbour!! I okayed it with my doctor before we came ... but still just did the mild rides, and a lot of the lazy river!!

Bryan ... attempting the boogie board!!

We left around 1:30, and headed to my aunt's house for showers and naps!!

Of course, we hit 5 o'clock traffic on our way to the Texas Rangers game.

In Front of the Stadium ...

Bryan with Nolan Ryan.

We got seats in the HomeRun section ...
All you can eat!

They had nachos, hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, chicken sandwiches and drinks! It was really fun!!

Bryan, Me, Elizabeth and Chris
Afterwards, we had to collect these cups!

Another great day!! :)

Day TWO: Day of Relaxation

I woke up this morning around 8AM ... craving blueberry muffins!! Luckily, our hotel DID have them at the front desk with some juice!

My Yummy Breakfast ...
My Lovely Company ...

I thought I would be nice and let Bryan sleep in ... that only lasted until about 9AM, and I was ready to talk to somebody! We chilled all morning at the hotel ... watching tv, surfing the internet! It sure was nice to just relax!

Since I got up so early ... I was ready for a nap by 1! I had a nice nap while Bryan watching some baseball!!

Then we had plans to go see my Uncle Jim and Aunt Bina! We were happy to see them and all their family!!

Beautiful Ms. Aiva

Madison and Macqueleigh ...
Catching a butterfly!
Lola and Gunnar

Axel

Bryan started a water gun fight with Gunnar ... but then Gunnar got the better gun, and got Bryan pretty wet!!

Then Macqueleigh and Madison began to dig for slugs ...

Axel had to hold one! Gross!

We went back to the hotel, and got to drive by the old stadium. Man, once you have seen / been to the new stadium ... the old one looks like a piece of junk!!

Then we headed to Red Hot and Blue to meet up with one of Bryan's high school buddies and girlfriend! Justin and Jordann picked this bar-b-que place for us to eat ... and boy, was it good!!

I am a picture freak ...
so of course I asked the waiter to take our picture!

Justin, Jordann, Me and Bryan

We were right next to the stadium, so decided to drive by it!

There is a brand new Wal-Mart next to this stadium ...
so we stopped and took this picture!!

Isn't it gorgeous?!

We are now back at the hotel, and ready for bed!

and a Happy Birthday to Bryan's Dad, PawPaw, Roy, Moses (only a few of his names)!!

Day ONE: Best Concert Ever

Warning: Longest Post EVER!!

Around 8 am, this morning we left our house with a loaded car, which included items like: 2 dogs, a fish, 2 sets of golf clubs, clothes for two for a whole week and cooler full of drinks and food! We stopped by the bank and the dry cleaning before we left ... then headed to my parents house to drop off the guys!

It was 9:30am ... and we were finally on the road for Dallas/ Arlington! We had rented the 6th Harry Potter book to listen to, which made the trip go by very fast (the movie comes out on July 15th, and we are both excited)!!

We made it to Cisco, and I told Bryan it was time to get out of the car! Right at noon, we finally found a nice convenient store/rest stop! We decided that instead of having to eat out almost every meal, that we would bring sandwich meat and the fixings to save $$.

Enjoying our 1st meal together at a rest stop ...
somewhere on I-20.

We found our hotel and went to check in right at around 2PM. We found a place that is 1 mile within the new stadium, so that we wouldn't have a hard time finding it. Well lots of people had the same idea we did ... there was a long line to check in. and the Poor Lady, she was not fast at all! Finally, we were next ... and they told us check in was at 3PM, so we had to wait for our room to be cleaned!!

We didn't want to drive anywhere because traffic was already crazy because of the concert. So lucky for us, there was a Wendy's within walking distance!! Yeah, for ice cream!

We finally got the key to our room around 3PM. Got a big load from our car. Opened the door to our room and immediately smelled SMOKE!! UGH! We had to take our stuff BACK to our car, go stand in the long line AGAIN (for the 3rd time today) ... and seriously about 30 minutes later they finally had us a NON-smoking room ... which is what we asked for online, but I guess they don't pay attention to that!

By the time, we settled everything in our room, and got dressed ... it was 4:30PM when we left for the concert!

Walking up to this magnificent building ...

First time to see the NEW Cowboys Stadium ...
The HUGE HD TV and little Bryan ...
which goes from the 20 to 20 yard line.

This thing makes every seat in the house awesome!!!

Julianne Hough got strep throat ...
So Leann Womack filled in for her!

This is the very first song played LIVE in The New Cowboys Stadium!!

On the big screen!

Mr. Blake Shelton

Bryan and I like him ok ...
But I have to say, He put on a great show!! :)

My Favorite Blake Shelton song is "Ol' Red"! I knew he was closing up, and he hadn't played it ... so I got Bryan to start chanting with me. "OL' RED, OL' RED, OL' RED!" Can you guess which song he ended with?! Yup, he must have heard us!

With no zoom ... this is the view from our seats! We were section 134, row 2! We only had one row of people in front of us ... which was awesome!!

Ms. Reba McEntire

I Love REBA!
Enjoying the Best Concert Ever ...
check out the kid behind Bryan, he wanted to be included!

She sang so many of her greatest hits!!!

Throughout the concert, I was like she has to sing Fancy ... I mean right?! Well she said her Thank You's and walked off the stage and I was like no way! This is Crazy!! Fancy is her best song ever! Of course, I told Bryan we need to chant ... maybe it will work again! I guess she heard us ... she walked back out in the hott little red dress! There was no doubt in our mind what she was going to sing!!

An Amazing Ending for part of the show ...

This is our "EXCITED That King George is NEXT" Faces!!

The One and ONLY .... Mr. George Strait!

This is ONE of my Favorite George Songs ...
'Run'

Enjoying watching George Strait!! :)

During 'The Fireman',
they had fire and sirens on the screens around the stadium.

No Need for Explanation here ...

Another GREAT SONG ...
'How 'Bout Them Cowgirls?'

Then, He started talking about the retractable roof in this stadium. He said there is one guy in this place that can open that roof. So he got the crowd to chant, "JERRY, OPEN THE ROOF!"

And he did ...

It takes 12 minutes to open or close completely ...

The roof was almost about half way open now ...
Of course I didn't get a picture of it open the whole way!

Doing what he does best ...

Of course, we need lots of pictures of ourselves too!

Looking GOOD!!

He also said his thank yous and walked off the stage ... and then his band followed him! And he had not played my favorite George Strait song ever!! Bryan said he was 99% positive he would come back for an encore ... he said you don't sell out a huge concert like this and not have an encore!! Well of course, within a few minutes he walked back up on stage with his band ...

He sang one of his new songs and then also sang Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues'...

Then sang 'This is where the Cowboy Rides Away' ...

We knew that was his last song!!

As soon as he walked off the 2nd time, I told Bryan he would have to take me to watch him again!! 'I Cross My Heart' is my all-time favorite song of his ... and he didn't play it!! I had that song played at our wedding ... it means sooo much to me ... and he didn't play it!!

So OVERALL, That seriously was the Best Concert that Bryan and I have ever attended! It was ONE Point away from being perfect!

So Happy ....

The concert ended around 11:15PM ... we made it back to our car around midnight!! It was crazy getting out of that place!! Luckily it only took us like 10 minutes to get back to our hotel, which was really nice!!

What a great evening!! :)

THREE Faces that I will be missing ....

Well, we are leaving for vacation this morning!! Bevo and Violet will be spending the week at my parent's house ... while Cash will be holding down the house (our neighbors will be feeding her)!!

Sweet Bevo

My Violet

Crazy Cash (whom we secretly love)

Project for the Trip

My closet is begining to look smaller and smaller ... very few clothes look appealing to me! So, I wanted to get a cute outfit for the George Stait concert! Some how, Bryan and i found a cute dress ... but I couldn't find shoes to wear! So Bryan had this great idea to make them ... all credit goes to him (seriously)!! We found some simple black flip flops at payless for cheap ... some cute tourquoise beads at Hobby Lobby!

and Voila ...

It took us about 2 hours to finish them ...

Finished product ...
